Among them, the high-definition and FHD resolution areas, especially 100-150PPI and 150-200PPI, are currently dominated by amorphous silicon TFT LCD.
In addition, metal oxides dominate the 200-250PPI and 250-300PPI categories of notebook computer displays. Metal oxide TFT LCD notebook computer panels are mainly produced by BOE.
Omdia said that AMOLED is aimed at areas such as 250-300PPI and 300-350PPI. Samsung Display aims to achieve shipments of 5.5 million notebook OLED panels in 2021.
