What is the LCD screen ITO conductive glass? 24th,August,2018

                                                 1.LCD screen ITO conductive glass
LCD liquid crystal screen ITO conductive glass is a glass coated with a transparent conductive film on one surface of ordinary glass. The most commonly used conductive glass is indium tin oxide glass, commonly referred to as ITO glass. Depending on the application, depending on the substrate glass, ITO glass can be divided into two structures.
The glass material is soda-lime glass. A barrier layer of silicon dioxide (SiO2) is required between the glass substrate and the ITO layer to block the penetration of sodium ions in the glass to prevent an influence on device performance. The glass substrate uses sodium-free borosilicate glass, and the ITO layer structure can eliminate the need for the SiO2 layer. At present, there are many manufacturers of ITO glass in China, such as Zhongshan Jinrun, Yushun, and Jingxun.
  2. Conductive glass parameters
      2.1. Light transmittance
The light transmittance in the visible light range is above 80%. The factors affecting the transmittance of ITO glass are: glass material, ITO thickness, and refractive index.
2.2. Surface resistance
The index used for the conductivity of the ITO film is the sheet resistance, which is represented by R□. R□ is related to the volume resistivity of ITO and the thickness of ITO film. The following figure shows the case where the current passes through the ITO film layer in parallel.
The sheet resistance is typically measured using a four-probe tester.
2.3. Flatness
Flatness refers to the degree of undulation of the surface of the glass within a certain range.
The flatness of the ITO glass substrate directly affects the quality of the liquid crystal display, and has a greater influence on the STN liquid crystal display. Generally, the flatness of the glass for TN LCD is less than 0.5um/20mm, and the flatness of the glass for STN LCD is less than 0.05um/20mm.
2.4 Mechanical properties, chemical resistance and thermal resistance
The conductive glass as a whole must have sufficient mechanical strength and be easy to produce. The ITO film is resistant to strong alkali and is easily corroded by acids. As the temperature rises, the sheet resistance increases.
Defective products related to LCD are: uneven contrast, groundness (rainbow), blooming, chip glass
